Wednesday’s Wowzers: Yes, it’s really Thursday

Fall is now in full swing!

I love it!  I am so incredibly inspired by everything around me!   And let's be honest--I have been almost living in the bathroom for the past week or so.  We began potty training last weekend, so I feel like we run to the bathroom about 42 times a day.  Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration.   I am proud to say that after 2 rough days, Little Man has got it!  At least during the day.   I'm too chicken to even attempt night-time right now.  We'll get there! 🙂

So with that huge feat hopefully almost-accomplished (knock on wood!), I'm ready to tackle some fall projects!  Here are a few inspiring projects...

I am in LOVE with this adorable Halloween polk-a-dot cake.  My friend Anj at Snowy Bliss never ceases to amaze me!! You have to see how she made this!

{Swoon.} Speaking of polk-a-dots... This Polka-Dotted Ruffled Top is too cute!  I can hardly believe it's handmade!  Made It On Monday has the full tut!

You may know I have a pillow obsession. I love these yo-yo pillows from At Second Street.

I have a confession to make:  I was going to make this same framed pumpkin (and maybe I still will!).  Isn't it cute?!  I gotta say--I love that apothecary lamp, too!  You can see the tutorial at Creations By Kara.

One of my all-time favorite preschool units is apples!  So I love Gluesticks' adorable felt apple game.  I know Little Man would LOVE squeezing that caterpillar in and out of the apple's hole.  Cute idea!

I don't know if I've ever seen a wreath this color.  Isn't is stunning?!  Love those ruffles! And perfect for fall!  Go stop by Days of Chalk and Chocolate for more details.

This pumpkin bundt cake is stinkin' cute!  But the talented gals at Lolly Jane Boutique are also offering adorable printables in all sorts of colors.

What are you making today?

PS Don't forget to check out today's Creative Carousel project--an adorable book page pumpkin at Creations By Kara!

  1. That cake is A-Mazing! We’re in the midst of potty training here, too. Have been for a couple of weeks now. In fact, that’s all next’s week’s blog is going to be about. lol! Why doesn’t anyone tell you how hard it is?? 🙂

  2. One thing I have learned about potty training. They will do it when they’re ready. My son has showed an interest last year (while I was pregnant with my second). I was tired and didn’t want to deal with it. Plus it seemed like he stopped caring too. After my 2nd was born in December I told my son that when it gets warmer no more pull ups in the morning. Pull ups are really just glorified diapers. I kept my son is big boy underwear and I am proud to say that he’s 98% potty trained. We can ge days without an accident. But I’m like you, we haven’t tried the nigth yet. That is a WHOLE other ball park.
LOVE that polka dot top. Its times like that, when I see something really cute, that I wish I knew I had to sew.

  3. Thank you so much for featuring my polka dot top! How fun to get on today and see it here 🙂

  4. Awww, what a milestone! Enjoy the little pay raise you get from not purchasing as many diapers. :))
Love your inspiration this week, Alison– I feel like baking something fall-like. Maybe an apple crisp??

  6. Love all your features… I haven’t started any fall crafts yet but I’m dying to!

  7. Thanks for the feature Allison! We conquered potty training over the summer. 2 days start to finish! It sure helps when you wait until THEY are ready. Sounds like your little one was ready too!

  8. Such fun ideas!! I LOVE that wreath too:)

  9. As usual, a fabulous collection of WOWzers, I’ve got to make a wreath like that for my front door. 🙂 We’ll begin the potty training here shortly, *sigh* I don’t know if I’m ready for this, but she sure seems to be!!

  10. Alison… you are the sweetest! Honestly!!!
And we just finished the potty training with my son. Good times;)
    Have a great weekend missy!!!

  11. Great job with potty training! We did ours back in April. Little man is fully day potty trained and about 90% night potty trained. My best piece of advice is no juice after dinner time. We do milk only. It really seems to help! I absolutely love that polka dot cake! Awesome!!
