Sunday’s Snippets: Valentine’s Day

I hope you are enjoying a fabulous weekend!  If you are new to Oopsey Daisy, welcome!  For me, Sundays are all about faith and family!  On Sundays, I take a break from my usual creative routine to share little snippets of everyday life.

This week has been a time of celebration at our home!  Besides all of the birthday celebrating with our big 3-year-old, we also enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day at home, too!  Mr. oopsey daisy and I actually went out on our official Valentine's Day date last weekend.  Although he traveled the day before and the day after, somehow mr. oopsey daisy managed to be home with us on Love Day.  I loved my day at home with my boys!!

Just look at how spoiled I am...

We heart attacked each other's doors.

Little Man handed out these ABC valentines to his family and friends.

We had a fabulous night of fondue as a family.

I was treated to sleeping in PLUS breakfast in bed (It doesn't get much better than heart-shaped French toast!),

And TWO handsome boys surprised me with a bouquet of gorgeous roses!

Little Man was thrilled to open up his valentines after breakfast!  After weeks and weeks of waiting, he finally found the Mickey Mouse socks he helped me pick out at the dollar section of Target!  Although he may have loved the Valentine's Day mailboxes more than anything else.

After being spoiled for breakfast, I didn't have to make lunch either!  We went out for lunch at Red Robin.  Yum!  Nothing beats those fries with ranch dressing!

Watching Little Man feed his Daddy fondue made my entire night!

Whether it was romantic or relaxing, I hope you enjoyed a fabulous Valentine's Day, too!

I hope you'll tune in this week... I have lots of fun things to share with you!

Sunday’s Snippets: Happiest Place on Earth

If you're new to Oopsey Daisy, welcome!  For me, Sundays are all about family!  So each Sunday, I take a break from my usual creative routine to share a few glimpses of our everyday lives.  There is nothing glamorous about our normal days, but I treasure them!

Last week, we left snowy Colorado to visit family in sunny California!

You may recall that last week was a rollercoaster ride for our little family.  But it began here at Disneyland... the Happiest Place on Earth!  Just looking at these pictures makes me want to go back!

I realize we are completely spoiled, but every year we go to Disneyland for just 1 day.  Mr. Oopsey Daisy's family lives in California, somewhat close, and visiting Disneyland with my in-laws has just become our "thing." So this was actually Little Man's third time visiting Mickey Mouse and friends!  This year we even survived an entire day at Disneyland without a nap!   This year we were foolish enough to plan our trip to Disneyland just 2 days before Thanksgiving, so we battled long lines, crowds, and aching feet. But of course I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Just in the last few months, Little Man has truly fallen in love with Mickey Mouse.  (I am thrilled about this because "Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse" is one children's TV show that I actually enjoy myself!)  So his little Mickey Mouse traveled with us to meet the real Mickey Mouse!

Sunday’s Snippets: A Very Happy Fourth

It finally feels like summertime here in Colorado!

Second only to Christmas, I think the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday!  I love the fireworks, the barbecues, and the fun in the sun!

After our early-morning bike parade, here are a few more favorite moments from our family's Fourth of July celebration...

Our Fourth of July was a blazin' 96 degrees!  At least for this Colorado girl, that was HOT!

To celebrate the toasty holiday, we finally inflated Little Man's little pool for the very first time. Yes, that lil' pool that we've had sitting in our garage since last year!  We finally put it to good use.

Little Man took the opportunity to wash up his Matchbox cars.  At least 5 and a half times.

What would the Fourth of July be without a barbecue?!  Little Man absolutely adores his cousin. His Fourth of July was complete, just palling around with his cuz.  Well, I think Grandma's chocolate cake and homemade ice cream were highlights of the day, too!

America's favorite past-time just happens to be our favorite past-time too.  Little Man is finally ready to take some swings all on his own!  This makes me one proud Mama.  I have to admit, I enjoyed a little tee-ball myself!

The perfect ending to our Independence Day was doing our very own fireworks.  I don't know what was more entertaining--the fireworks OR my husband and brother-in-law.  I didn't know my husband could giggle like that!  Silly pyro.

I hope you enjoyed your Fourth of July...

Now soak in every moment of your summer!

Sunday’s Snippets: My Handsome Ringbearer

Recently, we returned from the wedding of Mr. Oopsey Daisy's brother to a beautiful girl in Salt Lake City!  This was actually the first family wedding since our own happy day almost 4 years ago, so it was an exciting event!  I love weddings.  I love the flowers...  The dress.... The dancing.   And I have to admit, I am a people watcher!

I have been itching to show just a few pictures that I took of this special day!

The beautiful couple, now husband and wife

A triumphant bride

A gorgeous wedding reception.  Don't you love the colors--eggplant and ivory?!

Our little family, decked out in eggplant!

I might be just a bit biased--but how handsome is the ringbearer?!
