Give Me a P-O-P! Frame Project

Need a last-minute Father's Day gift???

Why not spell it out!

We created this gift for my Dad from Little Man and his 2 cousins--my Dad's grandboys.

My nephew (the first grandson of the family) quickly began calling his Grandpa -"Pop", and the name stuck.  All of the grandchildren in our family now call my Dad "Pop."  For Father's Day this year, we decided to honor Pop by spelling his name.  There are 3 grandchildren and 3 letters in the word "Pop."  (Of course this would be easy to turn into a "DAD" project, too!) What are the chances?!  We had to strike while the iron was hot!

This project was fun and easy!

I found these adorable boxy letters at JoAnn's.  I only had to buy the "O" and "P."  I decided to spray paint them red so they would be a happy, bright color.  I wanted the letters to really pop!

We got together with cousins for a little photoshoot. Of course the hardest part about this entire project was trying to get these silly boys to look at the camera!  Little Man wanted to play peek-a-boo with his "O" instead of hold it out.

Pop for “Pop” – Printable Coke Can sleeve

Father's Day is just around the corner.

Am I the only one who struggles to come up with gifts for men??

My husband buys exactly what he needs for himself, and he can't think of a gift idea to save his life.  And another tie? Booooooring.

One thing I do know:  My husband loves Coke.  As in Coca-Cola.

So I decided to dress up a Coke can just a bit.  I made a Coke can "sleeve" to dress up his favorite beverage for Father's Day!

I did a little measuring of a regular old Coke can.  I studied the can, and tried to make a sleeve that would be very similar.  I started by downloading a Coca-Cola font, available here.

In Photoshop, I created this image to fit the can.  My favorite part is the nutrition facts... just a few of the traits I love about my husband! And with my husband recently counting his calories, I thought he might appreciate the "calorie-free" image.

I inserted this image into a Word document and printed it out, careful not to mess with the sizes at all.  (You may have to change your page orientation and  margins to fit a 9-inch long image.)

After cutting out the sleeve, I used good ol' tape to tape it around the can.

Just a little something extra special for our "pop" to drink on Father's Day.

Would you like to print your own Coke can sleeve for the Pop in your life??

M&M Bowties

Need a quick, last-minute gift for those special men in your lives???  I'm kind of a last minute kind of girl myself.  I finished these little gifts just last night.  My entire family is getting together this weekend, and I wanted Little Man to have something to give his Daddy, Grandpa, and Uncles on Father's Day.

Who doesn't love M&M's???  And don't they make the cutest bow ties??  I simply used some scrap fabric to tie around the center of the package, and then attached the notes I created in Photoshop.  Grandpa gets peanut M&M's!

I had no idea that there were M&M pretzels... holy moly!  We are giving these ones to the hubs just so I can sample some. Yumm-o!

So if you need something quick and easy to honor the men in your kid's lives... enjoy!

The M&M Thanks tags were created using DJ Inkers fonts.  These have been used with permission.  Thanks, DJ Inkers!

You can print your own "M&M Thanks" tags here.

Have a happy Friday!
