I rarely show pictures of our home decor. And for good reason. We are renting our home! It can be really difficult to decorate the way I want to in a rental property. There are many things I would LOVE to change. (Take, for example, the pinkish hue of the paint color on the walls in my entire home.) But more often than not, I just don't attempt much decorating at all. I know that's pathetic, but it's true.
However slowly but surely, I have been making progress on Little Man's Big Boy airplane bedroom. Elmer's gave me the opportunity to add some fun and easy decor and on the cheap! I participated in their "Looks For Less" challenge. Using their supplies, I re-created several items I had my eye on... but my projects cost me next to nothing! Easy on the eyes, easy on the pocket book. 🙂
Today I have TWO tutorials to share with you! I'll show you how I created the faux airplane canvases plus the faux wooden "FLY" letters using Elmer's products.
If you can believe it, I only spent $5.73 on both projects. Not bad, eh?
Elmer's sent me some fabulous supplies to use for these projects. They generously sent me:
1 - Black and 2 - White 20x30 Foam Boards
Several glue sticks (they are by far my favorite glue sticks!),
X-ACTO Knife,
Several Painters sets
Plus $25 to spend on supplies (I considered this a challenge to spend far less!)
Are you ready for TWO cheap and easy tutorials? Let's get started!
