Wednesday’s Wowzers {8}

Welcome to Wednesday's Wowzers!

I hope you're ready for a fabulous party!  Speaking of parties, we are just now popping all of the balloons and throwing away all of the crumpled pieces of wrapping paper.  I'm afraid that I'm a bit sluggish taking down the party I worked so feverishly to prepare!  But I can't wait to share Little Man's birthday party with you!

Wednesday's Wowzers is brought to you today by Choffy!  Remember how I tried Choffy a few weeks ago?  It's a healthy alternative to hot cocoa or coffee with a natural energy boost.  Perfect for winter! E-mail independent distributor Sarah McKenna at bombshellbling@gmail.com for information or for a sample!

Thank you for another fabulous party last week!  Going through your links is the highlight of my week!  However, I must encourage many of you to consider turning off word verification on your commenting.  This extra step doubles my time commenting (especially when I'm tired and going cross-eyed looking at those jumbled nonsense words!), and I really would love to continue to comment on each and every link!  Just something to consider. 🙂

This week, our most viewed link was Craftionary's 60 free St. Patrick's Day printables.

What are you up to this week?  I am enjoying having my hubby home this week--you have no idea what a rare occasion this is!  I almost don't know what to do with myself.  Last night we celebrated the start of the Chinese New Year with dinner at P.F. Chang's!

Today's Wednesday's Wowzers party is brought to you by Avery's Loft.  Definitely check out Amy's incredible crochet products... because this weekend there will be a promo code available for Oopsey Daisy readers!  Awesome.

YUM.  That's all I have to say about this Oreo pudding poke cake.  I've got to try out this recipe from Lil' Luna!

Little Lucy Lu created this sweet burlap and hearts project.  I just love Bec's style!!

Don't you love this nightstand kitchen makeover from Happily Ever After?  I love the color, and this was a $25 Craigslist find.  Impressive!

You know I love a good pillow project!  And I adore Sweet Rose Studio's pretty polka dot Valentine pillow.  That heart is just too cute!

These would be fun for kids to make:  Heart bird feeders from Mommyapolis.

Days of Chalk and Chocolate has really blown me away.  First her love note pillows, now this lovely ottoman slip cover--made from a dropcloth!

And thanks for inspiring ME with your great ideas!

Wednesday’s Wowzers {3}

Hello my friends!  Happy almost-Wednesday!  What are you working on this week?  At our house, we are a flurry of birthday party plans.  Little Man's third birthday is about a month away, and I have been trying to nail down some plans for a Mickey Mouse birthday party.  We're also enjoying our "W is for Winter" unit during these dreary winter months!

I thought we would get this party started earlier today!  I'll do my best to have it ready by 6:00 PM each Tuesday night.  So I hope you'll check in!

There were so many incredible ideas linked up that it sure was hard to choose!
Here are just a few (of the many!) that caught my eye...

I LOVE this ruffle flower headband from Polka Dot Bungalow!  (And isn't the photography amazing?!) Stop by for a full tutorial!

No one does knockoff like my pal Bev at Flamingo Toes!  Don' you love these Anthro knockoff "Love" pillows?  Perfect for V-Day!

This scrap weave bracelet is so fun--and easy!  Check it out at It's a Hodgepodge Life.

I adore this thumbprint tree that The Scrap Shoppe linked up!  I've seen these for weddings, but what a fun family project and a great keepsake.

Uncommon recently threw a Winter Wonderland birthday party!  I love this fun snowman bowling game!

As soon as I saw these snowman cake pops at Twelve Months of Fun, I knew I had to make them for our "W is for Winter" unit.  She just used blue candy melts and sprinkles to create the beautiful frosty effect.

The most popular link of the party was Every Creative Endeavor's adorable sweetheart valentine banner.  Congratulations, Amanda!

All right you party animals!  Are you ready to go check out some links and have fun??

Wednesday’s Wowzers {2}

Well, I asked you to "wow" me, and you most definitely did!

Oh my friends.  I can't begin to tell you how lovely it was to stop by and visit your blogs this week and last.  I loved having the chance to check out your blogs and see what you're all about.  It made my week to get to know you a little bit better.  I hope you'll stop in each and every Wednesday!  I am looking forward to more creative inspiration!

Today's Wowzers is brought to you by Scentsy's independent consultant, Samantha Fryer!

 I am thrilled to have Scentsy/Samantha Fryer as my newest sponsor!  In fact, you can e-mail Samantha at samantha.fryer27@gmail.com to inquire about your own special gift--just for Oopsey Daisy readers!  Awesome, right?!

Now on to some amazing features!

Here are a few ideas linked up that really caught my eye:

These duck-tape covered boots are ah-MAZ-ing!  I would never guess in a million years that they were created from duct tape.  Well done, Crafting in the Rain!

Normally I don't think "easy peasy" when it comes to making a blanket.  But sweet Melissa at The Polkadot Chair sure makes these monogrammed fleece blankets look easy!  So, so darling!

I love these do it yourself photo pendants from GingerSnap crafts.  What a sweet, personal gift!

Simple and sweet--that's what I love about these mason jars wrapped in paper doilies and bakers twine.  Perfect for Valentine's Day!  Great idea from Titus 2 Work in Progress.

Chili's copycat salsa from Six Sisters Stuff.  I must try this.  Mr. oopsey daisy is completely obsessed with Chili's salsa!

With a little salty comes something sweet!  This snowflake crunch popcorn is not only beautiful but looks tasty too!  Find the recipe at Sugar Bean Bakers.

As a mom of a Little Boy, I rarely look twice at girls' clothes.  But this dress blew me away.  I love everything about it--even the matching pinwheel bow that Pinafores & Pinwheels created.  You must check this out!

The link with the most hits was Clean and Scentsible's top 10 craft projects of 2011.  I featured some of these projects during the year, so I agree!  Congrats Jenn!

Wednesday’s Wowzers: New Year’s! (PLUS an announcement!)

The countdown is on for 2012!

I can hardly believe that New Year Eve is just a few nights away!  Hopefully I will be able to stay awake until midnight this year!  Lately I have been searching for some fun New Year's Eve ideas. We are having a big family party on Saturday night, and I always love to throw in some fun and creative ideas.  As usual, Pinterest has offered a bit of inspiration.

But first:  I have a big announcement!  I am so excited to announce that beginning in 2012, my Wednesday's Wowzers will become a link party!  I realize that there are many link parties across the blogisphere, but I feel like this is my best chance to get to know my readers better!  I am looking forward to the chance to stop by all of YOUR amazing blogs and see what you're working on!  I will be highlighting YOUR projects from now on.  So I hope you will be ready to link up your latest and greatest project starting next Wednesday. I can't wait!

Now on to some fun New Year's ideas:

This New Year's printable is absolutely perfect!  One of these printables could find a frame near you... just stop by the 36th Avenue and tell Desiree how awesome she is!

I adore this idea from How Does She?  You fill 12 balloons (one for each hour from noon until midnight) with a piece of paper with a fun idea for kids to do.  This will definitely keep the kids entertained!  And your kids will think you're the coolest!

Amy at the Idea Room shared a similar idea, but using countdown bags instead.  So fun!

Alright, technically this isn't all about New Year's, but I am too excited about this organization idea for the new year.  I have to share!  Many times when I think of organization, I just get overwhelmed.  But My Simpler Life offers printable calendars for every month of the year during 2012.  Every day lists one simple organization task.  I can do this!

Wednesday’s Wowzers: Even MORE gift wrap ideas!

Happy Wednesday-Before-Christmas!

Whew, what a week right?  Visit with Santa.  Daily advent activities.  Christmas movies to watch and treats to bake. Tricks from "Tootles", our little Elf on the Shelf.  And wrapping gifts.  That's where today's Wowzers inspiration comes in.

Last week's gift wrap inspiration came at a perfect time for me.  I am wrapping our gifts a little at a time all week long. And guess what?  Literally in between wrapping my gifts, I am searching for more beautiful ideas on Pinterest.  I'm collecting all sorts of gorgeous gift wrapping ideas on my Gift Wrap Pinterest Board!  So I decided to share a few more ideas here on our Wowzers today!

Brown paper packages tied up with string really are one of my favorite things!  But this whole package is just perfect.  I love that touch of muslin, the vintage print, the twine, and the whimsical flower.  Well done, The Thrifty Crafter!

My sweet friend Kara (Creations By Kara) wrapped up her brown paper package with rolled paper roses.  These would be lovely any time of year!

Heather at Whipperberry shared 2 fantastic gift wrap ideas, and I can't decide which one I love the most!  That wax paper bow is just amazing, but I can't get over how sweet the pompoms are!  Check out both ideas!

Speaking of pompoms, using coffee filters to create a pompom is incredibly genius!  Creature Comforts Blog is so, so smart!  I have quite a few coffee filters that are about to turn into lovely gift wrap accessories!
