Super Saturday Crafts

Happy Thanksgiving Week!!

I am looking forward to some turkey and fun with family!

Today we are on an airplane bound for California!  We will be spending Thanksgiving with my in-laws there.  With 2 new sisters-in-law joining the family this year, I am so excited to spend time with our growing family!  Plus... tomorrow, we will be hanging out with Mickey Mouse at Disneyland!  Little Man can hardly wait.  I hope you're spending this week with the ones you love!

A couple of weekends ago, our ward at Church had a Super Saturday.  I taught one craft class and signed up for 3 more!  One of the classes was a fantastic (and yummy!) class teaching about Cooking Around the World.  Besides learning a lot, I also had the chance to feast on authentic Italian food and Japanese food.  YUM!!

Here are the crafts we completed:

I taught the class on making Lil' Luna's temple blocks.  I originally found Kristyn's blog through this project... it's one of my favorites!

Sweet Kristyn antiqued one of my wedding photos of the Denver Temple for this project.  Before coming, the ladies had the chance to select the temple picture they wished to use.  I made mine a bit larger (an 8x10), and I plan on giving this to Little Man for Christmas.

Can you tell how much we love Lil' Luna?!  We also made our own reversible baby boy neck ties.

I used this cute argyle print with a brown corduroy back.  We plan on using these as Christmas gifts for cousins {hope they aren't reading this!}  They might just make a perfect family picture!  (I made the three ties in different sizes for their different ages.)

As Christmas approaches, I am really excited about this project!

We created a Christmas story advent book.

We created the cute cover of our very own Christmas story book binder. Inside the binder, there is a story and scripture for every day in December until Christmas.  Isn't this a fun idea?!  I think we will read these with our daily scripture study.  I love all of the different Christmas advent ideas.  There is so much to look forward to all month long!
