Sunday’s Snippets: A Hot Date!

For me, Sundays are all about family!  So each Sunday, I take a break from my usual creative routine to share a few glimpses of our everyday lives.  This is nothing glamorous about our normal days, but I treasure them!!

This week (on Thanksgiving, actually!), Mr. Oopsey Daisy and I are celebrating 4 years of the beginning of our eternity together.

Four years?!

It seems like just yesterday!

I felt like a very lucky lady then.  But I feel even luckier now.

As you know, Mr. Oopsey Daisy travels a lot and works very hard for our family.  It's definitely not easy on him or us.  But one thing is for sure:  I appreciate the times we are together even more.

To celebrate our big day, my sweet hubby planned an incredible date!  It was perfect in every way.

After traveling, he popped into town and surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of roses just in time for our date!  I don't think I will ever get tired of roses... these lovelies just make me smile!

I will always have to tease him for taking me out for pizza on our anniversary!  He had discovered a new pizza joint and was eager to share it with me!  And you know what?!  It was delicious pizza, baked in an enormous wood-burning stove.  Pizza is an important part of his heritage. 🙂 It's in his blood.

I couldn't have been any more thrilled to attend the Lion King musical in downtown Denver.  Seriously, my husband is the best.  Four years ago, I doubt my husband would have agreed to go to a musical with me at all.  This time he was the one planning it all.  So look at us now!!  I was absolutely blown away by the costumes and production.  Our seats were incredible, too.  We could have reached out and touched some of the actors who walked through the theater.

Yes it's true.  I am a very lucky lady.

And just in case you're wondering about this Little Man....

Well, he had a fabulous time playing with his Grandma and Pop all evening long!  He even stayed up and waited for us to return!  It made for a sleepy next-day!

How I love my boys!!

What have you been up to lately?

  1. So sweet– sounds like the perfect anniversary to me! The Lion King was the first musical I took my boys to when they were 8 and 5. Now they’re 16 and 13 and still remember that experience (and they don’t balk when I suggest seeing a musical either!!).
I picked up my daughter from UGA and have my 20-something stepson arriving today. Happy mama here!
