Wednesday’s Wowzers: Almost 30!

Happy Wednesday, my friends!

Time is flying.  I mean it.

I have a little confession to make.  I am about to turn 30.  Yes the big 3-0.  I will probably never admit my age ever again.  Isn't it funny how we have these expectations about where we'll be in our lives by the time age 30 comes rolling around?!  And although I have accomplished a lot in almost-30 years, I feel like I'm behind!  Can't I have another 5 years before turning 30 and reaching this milestone?!

We still need to buy a house.   I should have more than 1 kid by now.  I should have a cute and organized craft room.  🙂

Here is what I'm loving this week...

Have you seen Nest of Posies' incredible felt flower wreath yet?  Oh my!!  I am in love with everything about this.  What a smart idea to frame a wreath.  And those butterflies... gorgeous!

I am loving this gorgeous playroom from Libbie Grove Design.  Can you imagine having an entire chalkboard wall?!  Love.

I am admiring all of the stenciled projects out there.  But these are the first stenciled curtains I've seen!  Go check out The Stories of A to Z... Beth is so dang smart!

I got to meet the lovely Angela from Better Together just last week. (Yay for Colorado bloggers!) I checked out her fun blog, and I found this adorable mini comfy skirt.  I love that great big bow!

I've seen a lot of  adorable diaper cakes... but this baby basket cake and bunting really does take the cake!  2 Little Hooligans did a fantastic job!

Mommy School fans:  Check out this candy corn game.  It's printable, too!  Stop by The Princess and the Tot to find out more.  Caaaute!  I know we'll be using this soon.

Seriously, seriously cute.  And festive.  And glittery.  What's not to love here?!  Check out the Chapman Place for the tut on these glittery Trick or Treat pillows.

I love love love felt!  So this felt Halloween countdown just makes me happy!  Thanks, Crafting Chicks, for more inspiration!  These ladies are so talented!

What's been inspiring you this week?

  4. I have to say I love being in my 30’s. I know who I am and I feel comfortable. I think in your 20’s you spend so much time searching and dreaming. Now I have what I was searching for {hubby and kids} so now I can just live life. Once you get past the BIG day you’ll realize it’s not that bad.

Your fall Pinterest board inspired my last craft project. Thanks!

  5. Thank you for featuring my comfy skirt! That was a fun surprise! Again, it was so mice meeting you. I had no idea that you were close to 30. I think as long as you are young at heart that is all that really matters.

  6. Oh, you’re practically a baby. I just turned 40. Shhh, don’t tell anyone. 😉

  7. I turned 30 earlier this year, and to me it wasn’t so bad. It’s just another number. 🙂 What fun things you found to feature today!

  8. Great ideas! Love those curtains! Turning 30 was no big deal for me. 32 for some reason hit me kinda hard. It really is the pits getting older. Happy Birthday anyway! You make one darling 30 year old. 🙂

  9. 30 isn’t so bad. Staring 40 in the face isn’t making me happy though! Happy birthday! Those are all great projects to showcase too!

  10. Such cute ideas! You know what I noticed in the first picture? Those lovely mason jars filled with crafting supplies 🙂 Love that idea!

  11. Oh my. I have HUGE issues with turning 30. Huge. It has always been that magic age that I’ve thought life is over. You are no longer in your “cool” 20’s. I don’t turn 30 for another 6 1/2 months but let me tell you, I am DREADING it.
So to get my mind off it I think I’ll make that super cute Halloween Advent calendar. Maybe I should have an advent calendar counting down till I’m 30……

  12. Thank you for the feature! I am humbled to have one of the projects that inspired you this week. Happy soon-to-be birthday! Thirty is the new twenty…so enjoy!

  16. Happy {almost} birthday! Love your finds this week!

  17. Happy almost birthday! Isn’t The List funny? You know, the one that we think we should have all checked off already. I always feel behind on that list too, like everyone is reaching the ‘grown up’ milestones before me. Part of it is Adam going BACK to school (it feels like backtracking), but I always thought this stage of life would be different, more grown up. I do always take on more than I can actually do, though. 🙂
I feel like you’re doing great, by the way. 🙂

  18. I turned 30 just this week! My 20s were great… it was sad to see them go!

  19. Thanks for featuring this…..I LOVE THOSE IDEAS TOO….that felt wreath is SIMPLY AMAZING!!

  20. I’ll be 32 in a few months, and I have to tell you…. I love where I’m at and I wouldn’t go back to my mid-twenties for anything. I’m in a strong marriage with a wonderful guy, I have an amazing 19-month-old son (and I’ll have a daughter soon!), I’ve grown into myself and feel that I have a purpose, and I’m involved in a tight-knit group of strong women (and I’ve never had those relationships before). Think of all the amazing things that you have now that you didn’t have 5-7 years ago. Makes being in your thirties worth it. 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful birthday and a great time celebrating!
