Sunday’s Snippets: Don’t Judge Me!

If you're new here at Oopsey Daisy, Sunday is my day to spend with family.  I love and treasure this time!  On this blog, I love to share bits and pieces of our everyday lives with you.  It's just a little peek into our Oopsey Daisy days!

Lately I have been thinking a lot about my boys.  My husband spent the last week in town with us (which is highly unusual!), so I got to see them together a lot.  Playing.  Laughing.  Wrestling.  Eating.  It melts my heart.  I really believe that the sound of of the two of them playing and giggling is my favorite noise in the entire world!

So this week was all about Father and Son.

I am slightly OCD.  Let's just get that out there right now.

So please don't judge me as a terrible Mother for the following pictures.  This little event only occurred because 2 rules were firmly in place:

1.  I insisted that both of them wear helmets.

2.  They were only allowed to ride about 10 mph up and down our small cul-de-sac.

Little Man was nervous actually.  The loud "Vroom, vroom!" was a little intimidating.  Daddy, on the other hand, couldn't have been any more proud.  They both insisted that I play spectator/cheerleader while they rode Daddy's motorcycle around the cul-de-sac.

Is he catching flies??  For whatever reason, Little Man had his mouth open almost the entire time.

My favorite part:  After the short ride, Little Man came running into the house.  He said a phrase he has never said before... "That was the best!"  You should have seen his Daddy's grin.

Oh my boys.

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. How awesome is that? LOVE the pics…what great memories!

    Smiles,
    Melanie :)

  2. These pictures are adorable. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with letting your little guy cruise down the street on the bike. Occasionally we let my son ‘drive’ my husbands old VW van around the block. :0)

  3. How fun! There is nothing wrong with a little motorcycle ride up and down your street. My dad used to do it with us and it was the most awesome thing ever. Your boys are adorable together. I do the same thing with my boys. I captured a heart-melting moment yesterday, as they sat together on a grass hill eating ice cream. Simply adorable. Have a great Sunday! YAY for having your husband home!!

  4. Too funny!! My hubs gave up his motorcycle a little over a year ago, and he is so sad over it still. These will be such fun pictures to look back at one day!

  5. I have two sons and there is nothing better than listening to them with my husband! Watching them interact and be ‘guys’ is so awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  6. I’m on the band wagon with the rest of the gals here! I’m totally judging you for allowing some serious “men” bonding time and for your Son to make amazing memories with his Dad! 😉 And worst of all, you documented it all so that they will remember it forever. Total judgement from me! 😉

    So sweet!

Just found your blog…Not to be a stalker, but what area of littleton do you live? I love WWW. I even lived so close to down town Littleton that We used to walk there. I remember when they had the carnival rides at ACC. I miss that part of the fun. Anyway….love the ride….
