Costume Parade

One of my favorite things about Halloween is the costumes!  Every year while teaching, I loved being a part of the costume parades.  All the kids (and teachers!) dress up, and we marched around the school!  I quickly learned that, as a teacher, you have to go all out when it comes to dressing up on Halloween!  I have continued dressing up every year, and I drag Mr. Oopsey Daisy along with the fun!  In fact, we usually try to do themed costumes as a family (whether he likes it or not!)

I had planned to do a Costume Parade linky party, but there are already some fabulous linky parties out there!  So come link up and join me in the costume party fun!  Here are the Oopsey Daisy family costumes for the last 3 years...

While we were engaged, Mr. Oopsey Daisy and I dressed up as Broncos football players.  This picture was taken less than a month before our wedding!  (While we were dating, I converted my hubby to becoming a Broncos fan, so this sealed his fate as a devoted fan!)

In all of my pregnant glory, I dressed up as a sailor 2 years ago!  Can you believe I wasn't even in my third trimester yet and I already had the prego chubby cheeks?!  Yep, I was not a pretty pregnant girl! Mr. Oopsey Daisy and I both wore sailor hats and dressed in white and blue.  Can you believe he had to work on Halloween night?!  Bumar!

I loved last Halloween because it was our first Halloween with Little Man!  I dressed up as a cow, Mr. Daisy was the farmer, and Little Man was a rooster!

Isn't he the sweetest rooster?!  We found this costume at Babies R Us.  I had so many people call him a "chicken" that I eventually taped a little sign on him that said, "Cock-a-doodle-doo."  I wanted him to be very manly!

I love my cow costume!  Last year, we thought we were going to have to move to California, and I was intrigued with the happy cow commercials. You know...happy cows come from California....  So even though I hated the idea of living in California (no offense, Cali readers--I just love living in Colorado, close to my family!), I decided to be cheeky about the whole thing and be a California cow.  I just got white leggings and a white shirt.  I used wonder under to iron on black felt spots all over the shirt and leggings.  My udder is pink felt.  I made ears by folding pink felt (also spotted with black felt!) and gluing them onto a black headband.  A little pink paint on my nose, and call me a cow!
And what will we be dressing up as this year?!  Well, you'll just have to wait and see!  Come join me and link up your costume ideas, too!
