Check out these lovely reversible headbands!! Don't you just love choosing 2 coordinating fabrics. This is one of the highlights of my life. I spend way too much time in the fabric section of JoAnn's, comparing fabrics while my poor son waits on patiently.
I followed the tutorial here at The Long Thread. There was a pattern and everything! I just did a couple of things differently:
* I made my headbands slightly more narrow and used a shorter piece (5 inches) of elastic than the recommended 6 inches. Maybe I have an abnormally small head. Not sure.
* I used Wonder Under in between the 2 layers of fabric to really stabilize it before sewing the 2 fabric pieces together.
Now I have 3 headbands left for lil ol' me. The elastic hides underneath your hair. Perfect!
Alright--selfish craft complete. I'm sure there will be more to come. Have a super day!

Love them! I made these too. Now i am obsessed with headbands, every time i cut something out i use the left over for a headband. i have scene made my own pattern and I am now close to getting it perfect for my head.
ha ha aren't you so sweet! I'm sure Oopsey Daisy will be the start of my modeling career. 🙂 I love you so much! Thanks for the cute headband again! I can't wait to wear it. 😀
Super cute! I love your fabrics. I really like that they are reversible!
These turned out so cute. You picked great fabric and they are going to be so much fun to wear.
I love these! Headbands always slide off my hair, but my 11 year old loves them with a passion. I am definitely making some for her!
I've made some of these for my girls….but haven't made any for me. I guess I'm going to have to have a 'selfish' craft day too!!
Remedy for the slipping-off-the-head problem: buy velcro circles and put 3-4 hard velcro pieces on the underside of the headband. I have two headbands that use velcro; it acts as a little comb to hold the headband in place! Only problem with that…your headband wouldn't be reversible anymore; only one-sided.
Love these! I made some similar for my daughter but never got around to making me some! Linking back to you later in the week!

I love them and love the fact that they are reversible! But if you wanted to make them one sided you can put a couple circles of velcro on the back side so they dont slide around! I have that on one I bought and I LOVE it! Just an idea!
So cute! I need one now!lol Thanks so much for linking up to Hoo's Got Talent! I also appreciate your sweet comment about my blog. I am not loving the layout right now , so your comments made me feel so much better. Oh yeah and by the way I adore your blog. You always have the cutest things to show off!
